The OBC is participating once again in the Avian Odyssey, a joint meeting in collaboration with experts from the Natural History Museum (NHM), Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, BirdLife International, African Bird Club, British Trust for Ornithology, British Ornithologists’ Club, Neotropical Birding and Conservation, Oriental Bird Club, and the Ornithological Society of the Middle East.
The full day meeting will take place at the Flett Theatre in the (NHM), London on Saturday 20th September.
The theme of this year's event is "A leading role" and aims to highlight the positive leading roles organisations and individuals can take in conservation efforts.
The programme includes nine talks on pressing issues such as plastics in the environment, the spread of Usutu virus, citizen science in China, and vulture conservation in Nigeria. There will be a keynote address by RSPB’s CEO Beccy Speight and insights from BBC Natural History producer Giles Badger.
